R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz Fusion and Funk- the sound and vibe cultivated by DMV based millennial band, Got My Own Sound.

Founded in 2011 by Wes Watkins (Drummer/Musical Director), the original band was comprised of  Elliot Jefferson (Aux Keys/Vocoder?Producer), Branden Jacobs (Keys/Producer), Jerel Abraham (Bass/Producer/Singer), Keith Hammond (Guitar) and Larry Dennis (Percussion) who help mold the sound of the band. In 2016, GMOS released their first self-titled album, Got My Own Sound and produced three songs on Grammy nominated artist, Carolyn Malachi’s album, Rise. In 2018 the band released their second album entitled , Welcome To Our World. The album quickly jumped to number 1 on iTune Jazz Charts and the single “I want I need” ranked number 6 in the Top 20 on U.K indie chart. GMOS teamed up with DMV artist such as Video Director/R&B artist, Chris Scholar & Producer/Artist Dave James offering to deliver a captivating , fresh and innovative album.

 The band revamped in the middle of 2018 and added new members Elliot Jefferson (Keys/Producer), Johnie Steele (Keys/Producer), Raynier Hodnett (Bass/Producer/Engineer), Izzy Lemons (Guitar/Producer), Keith Hammond (Guitar) and Larry Dennis (Percussion). GMOS released the third album in 2019 entitled, Out Of Love to stamp the sound of the new members. Got My Own Sound is set to release their Senior album, Moonshine Music in March of 2021. The band teamed up with artist such as King Los, Chantae Cann, BlaqueStone, Bobbypen, Killa Cal, Paris Price, Jon Williams, Frank Sirius (Scooby), Ms. Kim, Cane, Dave James and Micah Jenkins to deliver some of the greatest Feel Good Music for your ears to hear.
